The Pink Garage is a corner of Denver Dive’s style desk that celebrates individuality, documenting Denver’s residents and the way they express themselves. At its core, the Pink Garage sees style as intimate, accessible and deeply tied to identity, rather than wealth, status or trends.
At the Pink Garage, style is an entry point to the deeper story. Throughout this series, we’ll hit the streets of Denver, learning about their inhabitants through how they chose to dress themselves that day.
We’ll go into locally-owned shops, yes, to share why those shops are unique, but also to tell the stories of the people within them: the owners, the stylists, the college kids who found a part time job to support their education and fell in love with fashion.
We’ll go into the closet of the coolest person you know and give them space to tell you why they just can’t throw away that shirt they’ve had since high school with holes in the armpits. We’ll learn about the first expensive pair of shoes that they bought for themselves and how it felt seeing themselves in the mirror that day.
