You like jazz? If so, live music at Gerard’s Pool Hall happens every Thursday night from jam sessions to funk and jazz, of course.
Trying a “Passion of the Christ” cocktail at The Cure
If that’s not a Godsend, we don’t know what is. (Note from Kym: I’m a former Catholic, and I’ve never tried one). Catch holy cocktails and all things horror at the beloved Edgewater tiki bar.
Market in the Park-et
One of Denver’s favorite shopping events–Market in the Park-et features a curated collection of vintage clothing, local vendors and art while all being in the great outdoors. Don’t miss this month’s event on Saturday, August 30 at City Park.
Looking for cherries at the (South) Pearl Street Farmers Market
(Denver, not Boulder). The South Pearl Street Farmers Market happens every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is just in time for cherry season.

Up in the Sky Festival
Aspen’s ultimate summer music festival hits the slopes from August 7 to 8 with headliners like John Summit and Dom Dolla. Tickets are still available here.
Visits to Goodness each Sunday
If you haven’t heard of Goodness, you might be missing out. It’s a Denver-based daytime party with DJ Lowkey & Friends, with events every Sunday at different spots around the city, including Matchbox, The Champagne Tiger and Rook.
Shorter, cooler days (hopefully)

Visiting one of Uchi’s Garden Dinners
On August 20 and September 17, Uchi will host the last two dinners of its Garden Dinner Series. The seven-year tradition consists of a four-course dinner that pairs Uchi’s Chef de Cuisine Geoff Daniel with a guest chef from another beloved Denver restaurant for an evening al fresco.

In case you haven’t heard, the team behind The Wolf’s Tailor has the hottest reservation of the summer with SHEEP.

Die Spitz at Field of Vision
Field of Vision takes over Buena Vista at Meadow Creek from August 14 to 16, hosted by King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. Single-day admission tickets are still available here.

On August 25, Nas & The Roots with Special Guest Jadakiss will be taking over The JunkYard for a lively night of hip hop. Tickets are still available here.
National Oyster Day
Seafood is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Colorado, but seafood that is overnighted to our Centennial state is often just as fresh as it would be on the coast. Visit Jax Fish House & Oysters, Fin N Tonic, The Hampton Social or Traveling Mercies to celebrate the day.
First Fridays on Santa Fe
A Denver Friday night staple. First Fridays take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., rain or shine.

Savannah Bananas at Coors Field
If you’ve never seen the Savannah Bananas before, it just might change your view on baseball. Check them out on August 14 and 15 as they take on the Indianapolis Clowns at Coors Field. Its admission for the lottery closed in October 2025, but third-party sites like StubHub have verified tickets.
Free Day at the Botanic Gardens
Free Days come and go, and this month’s is on August 25 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so be sure to reserve your spot in advance. Did you know the Botanic Gardens also hosts summer concerts and yoga sessions from sunrise to sunset and everything in between? Be sure to stay up to date with its events here.

Denver Food & Wine Festival
A four-day festival covering the best of F&B in Denver, the Food & Wine Festival takes place on Tivoli Quad from August 26 to 29.Get your tickets here.
Having one last breakfast burrito before leaving for Colombia

Blood Incantation at Field of Vision
Another Field of Vision goer in Dive! Can’t blame the team for wanting to have a good time and rock out to one of the festival’s amazing bands, Blood Incantation. You can join in on the fun with single-day admission passes still available.
Sierra Ferrell at Red Rocks
On August 28, Sierra Ferrell takes over Red Rocks with Special Guests The Brudi Brothers, and tickets are still available here. Every $1 from each ticket sale goes to support the National Immigrant Law Center and its work in upholding the rights and opportunities of low-income immigrants.
Having a burger at The Crypt to support a local Colfax business affected by the construction
Many Denver businesses have fallen victim to the transit project that has been in effect since 2024 and is projected to be completed in 2027, so don’t forget to keep showing up. Plus, you really can’t beat the best of Colfax, including The Crypt.
